Older Americans need help with savings, Social Security, Medicare and more

Seniors are more than a quarter of the electorate - 27% - and a slim majority of them - 51% - voted for Donald Trump in November.

I surveyed a few advocacy groups, and the answer is: A lot.

At the top of Teresa Ghilarducci's list is the Retirement Savings for Americans Act (RSAA), a bipartisan bill that would help tens of millions of Americans gain access to retirement plans like 401(k) and individual retirement account (IRA) plans. Ghilarducci - an economics professor and director of the New School's Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis and its Retirement Equity Lab - says this lack of access is glaring.
